Help a newcomer or new family “fit” at Pinkham Memorial After the initial visit is made we need friends that will make 2 more contacts to help this person or family feel at home at Pinkham Memorial—do not need to plan special events, just invite and include newcomers in what is already happening in their age group at Pinkham Memorial.
The Family “fit” coordinator Someone willing to help connect the newcomers and those willing to help them fit. Receive names from those making the visits and connecting with those who will help them fit.
“Dinner for eight” coordinator Someone to coordinate the sign up process for this great program— providing an opportunity to fellowship and grow in unity. One meal a month and you will only provide one part of the meal.
Square One Helpers Pastor Don and Janise host a dinner meeting for newcomers to Pinkham Memorial—Help in food preparation, setting up tables and cleanup are needed. As you help with the meal, you will also have opportunity to eat with and visit with those new to our fellowship.
Greeters/Bulletin distributors Arrive 20 minutes before the worship service to give a smile and a hello at the outside doors and help make our church a welcoming place or hand out bulletins at the sanctuary doors.

Baptistry Operation Cleaning before a baptism, filling, setting up accessories, tear down and final cleaning is required. For reference, an Operation and Maintenance procedure is being drafted.

Nursery Nursery Coordinator The coordinator oversees the scheduling of all volunteers for all services and purchases supplies for the nursery. Maintaining sanitary conditions (including beds, toys, etc.) is also this person’s responsibility. Child Abuse Disclosure Statements and background checks must be completed by all workers.
Nursery Volunteer Care for infants and toddlers in the nursery during 10:00 Sunday School time, 11:00 service and special meetings. Must be at least middle school age to volunteer.
Special Children’s Programs VBS Coordinator Help with recruitment of teachers and helpers; order materials; organize daily plan and support teachers/helpers.
Children’s Christmas Program Director Find and order materials for program, organize the “cast”, arrange practice times, arrange for costume help. Practice begins in October; the program is the first part of December.
Youth Ministry Prayer Warrior People who participate in youth ministry by gifting us with the support base of prayer. Receive a student and leader roster sheet to pray for specific students and leaders daily. Receive monthly/bi-monthly prayer sheets to keep up on what is happening. Finance Team Church Treasurer Responsible for depositing the Sunday offerings and other receipts of the Church, for keeping confidential records of giving by individual donors for IRS reports that are mailed each January. Working the deposit and doing the record keeping takes approximately four hours per week and one to two additional hours at the end of the month to prepare end-of-the-month reports. Also several hours in January each year are required to send out the IRS records to individual donors.
Church Bookkeeper Upon receipt of anonymous records from the Treasurer, the records are added to the IRS database. Also records and tracks all receipts and expenditures of the church. Reconciles bank statements to church records monthly. Generates monthly reports, year-end reports and opening balance report for the new fiscal year. The bookkeeper spends several hours per month. Each year compiles the budget requests from the teams and boards to produce the budget for the next fiscal year. Several hours are spent preparing the budget and presenting it to the congregation for approval.

Finance Team Chair Organizes monthly meetings, works with the bookkeeper in putting together the budget for the coming fiscal year and presents it to the congregation. Has overall responsibility for the Finance Team. Four to five hours per month are required.
Finance Team Member Other regular Pinkham Memorial attenders that are interested in the financial operation of Pinkham Memorial. They participate in monthly and other meetings of the Finance Team, lending their expertise or other knowledge gained from past experience toward carrying out the mission of the Finance Team. From time to time they may assume other roles as part of the Finance Team. The time involved is centered around monthly meetings, amounting to 1½-2 hours monthly.

Worship Ministry Team Worship Ministry Team Member Open to all individuals, high school age and older, who are interested in leading our congregation into an intimate and closer relationship with God through Scripture, prayer and music. A heart’s desire to worship God is a requirement. Musical knowledge is helpful, but not required. The Team is responsible for planning the weekly worship services as well as some occasional special worship events and coordinating all of the vocal, instrumental, sound and computer personnel who are part of the worship ministry. The Worship Ministry Team meets together generally once per month (sometimes twice) for approximately two hours.
Youth Praise Team Open to all middle school and high school students who are interested in leading our congregation into an intimate and closer relationship with God through Scripture, prayer and music. This team will be lead by a youth praise team leader. The youth praise team will be scheduled once a month. Out of this praise team, the youth will have the opportunity to do special music, offertory, preludes and Scripture reading.
Worship Coordinator Within the Worship Ministry Team, a Worship Coordinator will coordinate the monthly schedule for worship leaders, vocalists, musicians, sound techs and audio visual, special music, children’s feature and offertory. This includes calling people and rescheduling people when changes need to be made. The worship coordinator submits this schedule and any additional changes to the church secretary. The worship coordinator types the monthly planned services before submitting them to the church secretary; usually four or five services a month.
Worship Leading/Mentoring Do you have a desire to use your voice to lead the body of Christ in worship of our living God? Opportunities exist to lead worship for regular services and special events. You will lead a small team of vocalists and instrumentalists and will serve on a rotation for leading Sunday morning worship with frequency of service dependent on the number of leader/mentors available. A minimum of one practice with your team before each scheduled service is required.
Worship Vocals Open to individuals high school age and older who have a heart to worship and desire to lead the congregation into the presence of God by using the vibrant energy and singing voice with which God has gifted them. You will be a part of a small team of vocalists and instrumentalists under the direction of a worship mentor and will rotate with other small teams, generally serving once a month. A minimum of one practice with your team before each scheduled service is required.
Worship Instrumental We regularly use piano, organ, keyboard, guitar and drums to back our vocalists in leading the congregation in worship. A heart’s desire to worship God and to lead others into worship as well as proficiency on your chosen instrument is required. You will serve with one or two of the vocal teams, but generally will not be asked to serve more than twice per month. A minimum of one practice with your team before each scheduled service is required. At times a small ensemble, a few strings or brass for example, or an individual instrument is used with the regular weekly worship team. This would require meeting with that team to practice a minimum of one time before the scheduled service.
Worship Specials If you have a heart’s desire to worship God with your voice or with a musical instrument, we would love to have you share your gift. This could be during preludes, offertory, communion or special music. The Worship Ministry Team requests that you first sing with a worship vocal team to familiarize yourself with the services, etc. Out of town guests (family, friends, etc) are welcome to do specials if they are recommended by another worship team member or a congregational member. We ask that you talk with the worship coordinator if you know of anyone who would like to be a part of our worship service.
Worship Choir Open to individuals middle school age and older who enjoy praising God through singing in a larger group than is used for the worship team each week. The choir does not rehearse or participate in the worship service regularly, but is used several times a year, often together with the church orchestra, to share larger musical works as part of our worship service. The choir usually meets together for practice three or four times before the scheduled worship service.
Worship Orchestra Open to individuals with a minimum of intermediate proficiency on string, woodwind, brass or percussion instruments who enjoy praising God through sharing their gifts in instrumental music. The orchestra does not rehearse or participate in the worship service regularly, but is used several times a year, often together with the church choir, to share larger musical works as part of our worship service. The orchestra usually meets together for practice three or four times before the scheduled worship service. At times a small ensemble, a few strings or brass for example, is used with the regular weekly worship team. This would require meeting with that team to practice a minimum of one time before the scheduled service.
Special Occasion Planning & Decorating Do you enjoy planning worship events for special times – for example, Easter, Thanksgiving, Advent Readings, or Christmas Eve? Do you enjoy using your artistic and decorating gifts to enhance and encourage participation in worship of our living God through banners, flowers, etc.? Let the Worship Ministry Team know and we will utilize you in service of our King.
Men's Ministry Disciple Makers In a one-one or group setting mentor men along the path of life to be the spiritual leader God created them to be. Men’s Event Coordinators Planning & coordinating connecting events for men; men & sons/daughters, men & wives, i.e. golf outings, Banquets, Conferences, Retreats, etc.
Women's Ministry Women’s Mentoring This ministry is in its early stages. The desire of it is to come along side the ladies in our church and on a one-on-one time encourage each other in their spiritual growth. Women’s Bible Studies Do you want to fall in love with Jesus and His Word? That is what this ministry is all about. It is encouraging women to study and hold each other accountable and to develop new friendships too.
