Under the leadership of Jesus, ministry is a shared task. To accomplish this task, the Holy Spirit bestows on every believer a supernatural ability to minister. By gifting Christians this way, God calls us and enables us to mutually minister to each other and the world. While some are chosen to lead vocationally, every Christian at Pinkham Memorial should discover and use their spiritual gifts to serve others. There are a lot of opportunities to belong and get involved.
You are invited to participate in the maturing process of ministry for the glory of God. In ministry, God's people have the opportunity to mature spiritually and bear eternal fruit. Without a ministry, a believer does not mature. Consequently, both personal and corporate needs often are not met.
Your ministry is to the people God has placed in your life. The spiritual, social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs of your family, those you work with, schoolmates, neighbors or other contacts are your ministry responsibility. Ministry to these people close to you is part of living a life pleasing to God.
Your ministry is also within and through a local church. This is your opportunity to indicate your willingness to serve. Please prayerfully consider those areas where you have an interest or ability. Please email the church office to let us know where you would like to serve. You will not necessarily be expected or asked to serve in all the areas you indicate. It is possible that you will be challenged to serve in areas you have not indicated if others perceive that you have certain gifts or abilities.
